We offer classes for adults and kids ranging from our Introductory Workshops and Fundamentals Classes designed for beginners, to our more challenging Continuing Classes.

Adult Introductory Classes

Geared toward beginners aged 17 years old and up, these classes provide an introduction to shop safety and woodworking and shop tools techniques.

Fundamentals of Furniture Making: Small Oak Table with a Drawer

A 6-week class exploring basic furniture making techniques including a mitered table top and tapered legs.

You will acquire knowledge and confidence around the shop, learn the ins and outs of various machines like the table saw, bandsaw, the jointer and planer, and put your new found skills to work building a small oak table with a finger joint drawer.

Cost $520.00, includes all materials.

Fundamentals of Cabinetry: Standing Cabinet

A 7-week class geared towards beginners, ages 17 years old and up, this is a hands-on introduction to our tools. You will acquire safety skills and confidence around woodworking machinery, learn the ins and outs of the table saw, bandsaw, the jointer and planer. We review the basics of cabinetmaking and put your new found skills to work on a small standing cabinet with a door.

Cost $655.00, includes all materials.

Fundamentals of Woodworking: Tool Tote and Small Gift Box

Geared towards adult beginners, 17 yrs. and up. This 3 hour per night, 5-week course is a hands-on introduction to the Skills and Safety technics with the woodworking tools in a wood shop. You will acquire knowledge and confidence around the shop, using the table saw, bandsaw, jointer, planer and the combination chop saw. Learning the ins and outs of these machines and putting your new found skills to work building a tool tote and a small decorative box.

Cost $410.00, includes all materials

Fundamentals of Cabinetry: Bed Side Table

This 7-week course is a hands-on introduction to our tools. You will acquire Safety skills and confidence around woodworking machinery, learn the ins and outs of the Table saw, Bandsaw, the Jointer and planer. We review the basics of cabinetmaking to design your night stand and put your new found skills to work building it with a soft closing drawer.

Cost $655.00, includes all materials.

Fundamentals of Woodworking Saturday Intensive: The Small Gift Box

Geared towards beginners, this Saturday intensive is a hands-on introduction to the table saw, bandsaw, planer and chopsaw. You will acquire knowledge and confidence around the shop, learning the ins and outs of various machines and putting your new found skills to work building a small mitered box. Saturday 9:30am-6pm.

Cost $285 per person, includes all materials.

Adult Continuing Classes

You’ve done the basics, now it’s time to take it to the next level!

You must complete an Introductory or Fundamental class before taking one of the Continuing classes below.

Woodworking: Contemporary Tall Cabinet

In this 10-week course we’ll design our wall cabinet with inset, mitered glass doors and hand made moldings.

Materials will be soft maple with an option to stain your cabinet.

Cost is $680.00 per person including all materials, glass and hardware. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: The Shenandoah Bookcase

In this 10-week course you’ll practice your existing skills and develop new skills like full size layout, jig making, utilizing specialized cabinetry construction.

Cost $695 per person. Materials are not included with this project. There will be an “off class” trip to the lumber yard so you can purchase your material. Call with any questions.

Woodworking: A Set of End Tables

You’ve done the basics of furniture making, now it’s time to take it to the next level.

In this weekend intensive course you will use custom furniture joinery and learn your shaper skills to build two cherry end tables.

Cost $625 includes all materials.

(Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: Checker Table

In this up-to 12-week course you’ll practice your existing skills by building a Frank Lloyd Wright style table using mortise and tenon, inlay and of course the checker board table edge detail.


Cost $840.00 per person, materials fee is not included.
There will be a Saturday trip to the lumberyard after the first class to purchase your materials. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: Live Edge, Waterfall or River Table

You’ve watched the video’s on line, now it’s your chance to make one yourself. In this, up to 6-week course you will take a live edge slab from the remnants of a tree and turn it into your own family heirloom project.

Cost $465 per person, lumber is not included and should be purchased by first class – call with any questions. An additional materials fee will assessed for epoxy to be used on your project. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: Octagon Side Table

This is a 10-session course (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

You’ll practice existing skills like full size layout, jig making, shaper work and veneer lay-up.

Cost $835 per person, includes materials of solid cherry and cherry veneer. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: The Cherry Greene and Greene-style, Coffee Table

In this 12-week course you’ll practice existing and new skills like, project layout, jig making, mortise and tenons, and utilizing specialized cabinetry construction like ebony inlay.

Cost $825 per person, materials are not included with this project. There will be an “off class” trip to the lumberyard for you to purchase your materials. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: The Modern Chair

The Modern chair is our figure head project. In this 10-week class we will be using the Bridle joint, mortise and tenon and doweled glue joints. With extensive shaping you’ll create the elegant shape that is the Modern chair and you will build yourself an heirloom project.

Cost $695 per person, materials not included. There is an out of session trip to the lumberyard to pick out and purchase the material. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: Contemporary Wall Cabinet

In this 7-week course we’ll design our wall cabinet with inset, mitered glass doors and hand made moldings.

Cost $680 per person. Materials will be soft maple with an option to stain your cabinet. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: Contemporary Double Door Cabinet

In this 7-week course we’ll design our wall cabinet with inset, mitered glass doors and hand made moldings.

Materials will be soft maple with an option to stain your cabinet.

Cost $795 per person, including all materials, glass and hardware. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Woodworking: The Floating Top Console Table

In this 12-week course you’ll practice exciting new skills like full size layout, utilizing specialized woodworking construction like mortise and tenon with exposed tenons.

Cost $815 per person, materials are not included with this project. There will be an “off class” trip to the lumberyard so you can purchase your materials. (Prerequisite: any of our Introductory or Fundamentals classes.)

Fundamentals of Woodworking : An Asian-style End Table

This 5-day course, twice a week on Tues and Thurs 12pm to 3pm, is a hands-on introduction to pattern making, creating this Greene and Greene style table. You will acquire knowledge and confidence around the shop, learn the ins and outs of various machines, and put your skills to work building this table.

Cost $475 per person, includes materials.

Introductory Classes for Kids

Classes suitable for ages 11 to 15 years old.

Kids After School Intro To Woodworking: Colonial Pine Table

Includes our Safety and Skills class. This 5-session class will run through the skills needed to build a small oak table using the table saw, miter saw, band saw with gluing and assembly and you’ll take home an heirloom.

Cost $450 per student includes all materials.

Kids After School Intro to Woodworking: Small Table

A 5-session class designed for beginners and includes our Safety and Skills class introduction session to the table saw and bandsaw. This is a fun project build class that will run through the skills needed to build a small oak table using the table saw, miter saw, band saw with gluing and assembly. You’ll take home a family heirloom.

Cost at $450 per student includes materials.

Kids 10-Week Woodworking Fundamentals

An introductory woodworking class for beginner woodworkers. This hands-on class teaches the safety and skills of working on wood shop machinery such as the table saw, bandsaw, jointer and planer, including various hand tools, as well as project layout, millwork and assembly of their projects. The projects include a small tool tote and a small mitered decorative box.

Cost $785 per student includes all materials.

Kids After School Intro To Woodworking: Small Gift Box and Wiggle Boards

This 5-day class will run through the Skills and Safety class needed to work on the table saw, bandsaw and chop saw. They will build a small gift box and a set of wiggle boards using their new found skills on the table saw, miter saw and the band saw, along with gluing and assembly. They will take home a family heirloom.

Cost $425 per student including all materials.

Younger Kids Fall Intro To Woodworking: Small Table

We’ve taken our Safety and Skills class, and added a few fun projects for our younger woodworkers . This 6-session class will run through the skills needed to build a small oak table and wiggle cheese boards using the table saw, miter saw and band saw with gluing and assembly. You’ll take home many heirlooms.

After School Tuesdays and Thursdays, Kids Woodworking: Small River Table

Includes our Skills and Safety class. This, up to, 6-session class is a project build class and will run through the process of cleaning and breaking down a raw wood slab and epoxy pouring. You’ll take home an amazing epoxy river table.
Cost $520 per student includes materials for a small live edge slab, hairpin legs and one and half liters of epoxy.

Kids Woodworking Series: Bread Board

This 2-session class will run through the skills needed to use a table saw, miter saw, the band saw. We will glue up and cut out fun shaped bread boards using exotic woods that will be able to taken home.

Cost $190 per student including all materials.

Fall Kids Woodworking Thursdays Intro To Woodworking Series: A Small Bookcase

Includes our introduction safety session for the table saw and bandsaw.

This is a fun Project build class. This 5-session class will run though the skills needed to build a small oak open bookcase using the table saw, miter saw, band saw with gluing and assembly. You’ll take home a family heirloom. Ages 11 year to 15 years old.

Cost $450 per student includes materials.

After School, Kids Intro To Woodworking: Step Stool and Wiggle Boards

This class includes our introduction session of the skills and safety on the table saw and bandsaw. This is a fun project build class. This 4-session class will run through the basic wood shop skills and safety, using the table saw, miter saw, band saw with gluing and assembly of the small step stool and the wiggle boards. Take home these wonderful gifts.

Advanced Classes for Kids

Thursday Kids Advanced Woodworking: The Toy Chest

Students will need to have taken at least two of our Introductory Classes to register for this class. So now let’s put those skills to work!
This 10-session class is a project build class and will run through using the table saw, miter saw, and the jointer and add some new skills on the shaper and cabinet assembly. Students take home an heirloom toy chest, approximate sized at 20″D x 42″W x 18″H.

Cost $875 per student includes all materials fee.
